Rachel Couffignals is an Oxford-educated British prep-school educator and former Head of Lower School at Wetherby Prep in London, one of the UK’s most respected independent preparatory schools.
With extensive expertise in academic rigour, traditional teaching, and pupil development, she brings the clarity, expectations, and structure of genuine British independent-school education - experience that many families in the UAE actively seek.
After relocating from London, Rachel recognised that families relocating from the UK often sought the pace and expectations typical of selective UK independent schools. Rachel's own children attended independent schools back in London and to maintain her children’s confidence and academic maturity she began tutoring them to be aligned with the standards she knew. What began as a personal endeavour soon developed into structured tutorials for families seeking a similar approach.
As more families sought the same standards, Rachel founded Primrose Prep to offer true independent-school tuition and advisory in the UAE: academically ambitious and rooted in the discipline, manners, and clarity expected by leading British independent-schools.
