Rachel Couffignals is an Oxford-educated British preparatory-school educator and educational advisor, formerly Head of Gifted & Talented and Head of Lower School (Years 3 & 4) at Wetherby Prep in London, one of the UK’s most respected independent preparatory schools. She has taught and mentored pupils — and advised families — whose children have progressed to highly selective senior schools including Eton, Harrow, St Paul’s and Winchester.

Following her family’s relocation from London to the UAE, Rachel experienced first-hand the challenge internationally mobile families often face: maintaining academic continuity, navigating curriculum differences, and ensuring children continue to be stretched appropriately.

What began as a personal commitment to preserving strong British academic standards for her own children soon led other families to seek Rachel's guidance - not only in selecting exceptional tutors, but in broader educational decision-making, long-term educational planning, school pathways, and maintaining the standards associated with leading British independent schools. 

Rachel founded Primrose Prep to offer both bespoke educational advisory and carefully curated private tuition for families seeking thoughtful, high-quality academic support rooted in British independent-school standards.

Today, Rachel works closely with families as a trusted educational adviser — helping parents make important educational decisions, think strategically about their child's development, oversee educational support where appropriate, and ensure every aspect of a child's education remains coherent, ambitious, and carefully tailored to their long-term goals.
